Quality Coordinator - VR/30481

TMM are working exclusively with a global oil and gas service company who are currently recruiting for a Quality Coordinator to join their Projects Team. The role is a permanent staff role based in their office in Cove, Aberdeen however occasional travel to vendors is required as part of the role.

     

The Quality Coordinator will be part of the Projects Team, with the following responsibilities:

  • Ensuring Project Department Operating procedures are in line with the company’s current best practice.
  • Creating project specific QITPs and activity applying specific QITP/related procedures where there is not a standard procedure available, or it needs enhanced for contract requirement.
  • Issuing contract TPI notifications.
  • Ensuring Projects Team are performing reviews at required points per operating procedure ie contract review, design review, gate review, lessons learned, etc.
  • Being quality focal point for customers/internal and external suppliers.
  • Performing pre-project audits against QITP at internal/external suppliers (training will be provided if required).
  • Being aware of and promoting the highest HSE standards within project scopes.
  • Reviewing tender documents from a QHSE viewpoint.
  • Ensuring adherence to, or exceeding quality of work within Project Team with respect to standard operating procedures.
  • Reviewing NCR trends and actively promoting zero customer NCR culture by delivering outstanding performance to customers (within contract parameters).
  • Weekly reporting of agreed KPIs.
  • Travelling to vendors when/if required.
  • Working with project management and Project Engineering Team, including Planning Coordinator to ensure highest quality of service is delivered within contract specifications and budgets and scopes are delivered on time.

     

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have a positive, collaborative, calm, and logical approach to teamwork with an open and welcoming demeanour. Ability to be assertive as required with an ability to infer others’ motives.
  • Have a mechanical equipment aptitude.
  • Experience with Excel or equivalent for data capture/trending.
  • Have some exposure to quality systems and procedures.
  • Previous experience in a similar role within a project based environment.
  • Have some exposure to basic principles of net zero aims, safe working in a healthy environment would be useful.
