Legal Cashier - VR/30296

Permanent opening for a Legal Cashier within a long-established Aberdeen firm. You will join a busy and friendly team environment. Preference for individuals with a legal background.

       

Main duties and responsibilities

  • Financial Transactions: accurately handling the cashbook and sales ledger daily transactions which includes client and office accounts receipts, payments, journals and invoicing.
  • Bank Reconciliations: completing the daily and monthly bank reconciliations for client funds held.
  • Client Ledger management: reviewing and working closely with the solicitors to ensure client ledgers are accurate and up to date. 
  • Reporting: assisting with the monthly financial reporting.
  • Compliance: ensuring compliance with the Law Society of Scotland Accounts Rules.
  • Credit Control: assisting with credit control function.

              

Applicants to this role require

  • Strong numerical skills, attention to detail and proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office
  • A good understanding of the Law Society of Scotland Accounts Rules would be preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
