Fundraising and Partnerships Manager - VR/30220
The Fundraising and Partnership Manager is a newly developed part-time role, candidates will have autonomy to manage fundraising programmes to increase support from regular donors, major supporters and business partners. Previous experience within a practical fundraising role would be essential. Candidates should be available to work in the Aberdeen, hybrid working is also available.
The Partnership Manager will play a key role in diversifying the income of VisitAberdeenshire by researching, targeting and securing new financial support for the organisation, with a gross income target of £200,000 to be raised annually.
Research & Sales:
- Researching, identifying and building a pipeline of suitable partnership organisations that could partner with VisitAberdeenshire.
- Working with staff and Board Directors to map and engage with potential donors in their networks.
- Driving business conversation of sales pipeline to meet annual revenue targets.
- Developing and negotiating complex and multi-faceted proposals, pitches, contracts, and agreements with Partners, working closely with colleagues such as the CEO and HR and Business Services Manager.
Account Management:
- Maintaining excellent and proactive relationships with the organisation’s partners, sponsors, and prospects.
- Ensuring the timely and accurate fulfilment of contractual obligations, deliverables, proposal and reporting requirements, and evaluations to partners and sponsors.
- Providing support and guidance to colleagues with the management of partnership relationships and ensuring key relationships are stewarded by the most appropriate member of the VisitAberdeenshire staff or board.
- Controlling and managing expenditure for cultivation and delivery of partnerships in line with organisational fiscal policy.

- Ability to manage multiple initiatives and partners simultaneously.
- Ability to draft concise and informative reports in line with organisational requirements.
Minimum of 3 years’ relevant work experience in the marketing, fundraising or business development field.
