Corporate Tax Manager - VR/29425
Due to an increase in opportunities, our client, a leading provider of business-critical services, is seeking a Corporate Tax Manager on a permanent basis. You will be part of a highly proficient tax team, assisting businesses of varying sizes across diverse sectors.
As Corporate Tax manager, you will be responsible for:
- Overseeing and managing all aspects of client assignments, including resource allocation, budgeting, and communicating between departments of the firm, whilst ensuring timely delivery and presenting findings to clients.
- Developing expertise and conducting detailed technical research of an advanced nature as required and presenting this clearly at client meetings or in written form, offering practical solutions and recommendations.
- Delivering advisory and compliance services punctually to clients, whilst also supervising junior staff, offering guidance, feedback, and ensuring effective delegation of tasks.
- Upholding the firm's procedures and culture regarding feedback, accountability, and coaching.
- Working in an agile way to manage workload and ensure delivery to the clients’ satisfaction.
- Making effective business decisions in relation to the management of your team.
- Managing the key performance indicators for yourself and your team.
- Playing an active role in the sustainability, development, and growth of the firm.
- Recommending improvements in technology-enabled tax compliance processes across the organisation.
- Serving as a primary contact for colleagues, clients, and professional networks, generating referrals and seeking opportunities to promote the firm with the support of the business development team.
- Being an ambassador for the firm, taking opportunities for networking and events.
- Identifying areas of risk, proposing solutions, and leading change initiatives.
- Demonstrating commercial awareness.
Experience/ skills required:
- CA, or equivalent, ATT or CTA (or breadth of knowledge equivalent to CTA).
- Professional, technical and pro-active approach to delivering tax advice to clients.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- The ability to build strong relationships.
- Previous line management experience.
- Experience of Microsoft Office packages (Word, Excel, MS Outlook).
- Experience of using Alphatax preferred.
